Oil Seeds – Extraction of oil from seeds.

Oil seeds means a seed or crop grown mainly for oil. They are rich in protein, and in addition they contain a high level of fat. The proteins in oilseeds can be fed either as part of the oil-intact seed, or as a meal from which the oil has been removed. They have been the backbone of several agricultural economies from antiquity and play a prominent role in agricultural industries and trade throughout the world. It helps in maintaining blood sugar levels. Oilseeds attracted more attention due to an increasing demand for their healthy vegetable oils, livestock feeds, pharmaceuticals, biofuels, and other oleochemical industrial uses. They are rich in thymoquinone and antioxidants.
